Watercolour Floral Workshop - August 23, 2025

TIME: 11 AM to 1 PM Eastern Time (Toronto/New York)
LOCATION: Online via Zoom (link & materials sent 14 days before)
Join me for a Watercolour Floral Workshop, where we’ll explore expressive brushwork, unconventional mark-making, and beautiful colour stories to create a dynamic floral composition with confidence.
All Artists are welcome, but prior experience with watercolour is recommended, as we will build on fundamental watercolour techniques, rather than cover the absolute basics.
WORKSHOP OUTLINE
• Welcome & Introductions & Studio Set-Up (10 Minutes)
• Overview of Watercolour Fundamentals (30 Minutes) - A quick refresher of the four fundamental techniques (wet on wet, wet on dry, dry on wet, dry on dry).
• Step-by-Step Guided Tutorial (20 minutes) - I will guide you through my signature ‘pirouette stroke’ technique for painting leaves in watercolour. Please note: This is an advanced technique that uses a specific brush, which may be difficult to source. I’ll break down the mechanics of the stroke so that you can experiment with the tools you already have.
• Break (5 Minutes)
• Step-by-Step Guided Tutorial (45 Minutes) - I will guide you through creating a watercolour floral painting with expressive brushwork and mark-making, incorporating the four fundamental watercolour techniques.
• Q&A (10 Minutes)
Bonus! All workshop participants will have the option to submit one painting via email for written feedback following the workshop.
HOW TO PREPARE
To prepare for the workshop, you will receive an email 14 days before the workshop with reference material for inspiration, a list of the supplies I will be using, and suggested substitutions.
FINE PRINT
• Live Only: This is a real-time experience. There will be no recordings available.
• Access & Materials: The Zoom link and workshop materials will be sent 14 days before the workshop.
• Cancellation Policy: No refunds. However, if you cancel at least 48 hours in advance, you will receive a credit toward a future workshop.
